Actifed 60mg/2.5mg Tablets – 12 Tablets
Actifed Tablets combine a nasal decongestant and antihistamine to provide symptomatic relief from nasal congestion associated with colds and allergic conditions.
Each tablet contains 60mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and 2.5mg triprolidine hydrochloride.
Pseudoephedrine helps relieve a blocked or congested nose, while triprolidine is an antihistamine that helps relieve symptoms associated with allergic reactions.
What Are Actifed Tablets Used For?
Actifed Tablets are used for the symptomatic relief of upper respiratory conditions that benefit from the combination of a nasal decongestant and antihistamine, including:
-
The common cold
-
Allergic rhinitis
-
Vasomotor rhinitis
-
Blocked or congested nose associated with these conditions
-
Allergy symptoms associated with rhinitis
How Do Actifed Tablets Work?
Actifed contains two active ingredients:
Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride 60mg
A decongestant that helps reduce swelling in the nasal passages, helping to relieve a blocked or congested nose.
Triprolidine Hydrochloride 2.5mg
An antihistamine that helps reduce symptoms caused by histamine during an allergic response.
This combination makes Actifed particularly useful when nasal congestion occurs alongside symptoms of rhinitis or a common cold.
