Did you know Vitamin A is a UV defender?
Dr Des Fernades, founder of Environ skincare recommends "antioxidants orally and topically, and also flags the photo-protective properties of Vitamin A. Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A) accumulates in the mid-epidermis and acts as an umbrella to protect the cells below by absorbing rays that would otherwise cause damage."
Environ AVST 5 or Environ C-Quence 4 provides the equivalent fo SPF 20, but prolonged UV exposure breaks down topical Vitamin A, so it is important to take Vitamin A in supplement form and apply a sunscreen.
